My Teaching Philosophy
My
goal is to present an individualized approach to enable students to
joyfully realize their musical potential, so that they might experience
a lifetime of sharing their love and enjoyment of making music.
To
accomplish this I present on going instruction of balanced repertoire
of all styles; music theory, technique, ear training, analytical
listening, composition, sight reading and ensemble experience. I
believe in keeping abreast of the current musical publications and
utilizing the best possible materials.
It is my sincere desire that each student will become a life long
learner and eventually become his (her) own teacher.
Testimonials
Gloria finds the spirit of each child or adult
she teaches. Then she finds just the
right music to nurture that spirit
all the while they are learning to play the piano.
What a gift she is!
As I watched my children flourish with her, I found myself strongly wishing I could have found a teacher like her when. I was learning the piano.

Hi, Gloria
When I saw this (a beautiful picture) I
thought of you. Your gift for leading others into the realm of music
is
truly a gift. Our world needs more of the healing energy of
art.
In that sense your role in opening so many others to
music has significant power.
In my own little corner of the world, I
know that Sharon has benefited greatly from your knowledge, skill,
and
patience.
Thanks
for sharing your gift. Roger

Gloria has taught our 3 children for over 4 years. She has
provided them a solid
grounding in music theory, a broad knowledge of
musical periods and composers, and
a love of performing and listening
to classical music. I think this is a fair expectation
of any
talented music instructor. What makes Gloria's teaching so
special is her respect
for and delight in each student as an unique
individual. While providing them with a strong foundation,
she also meets them where they are and allows them to explore their
creative interests. Together they have explored show tunes,
jazz, movie soundtracks, original compositions and even Led
Zeppelin! She is truly devoted to her students'
musical
education and they feel very supported by her in this pursuit.

Gloria Joireman is a dedicated teacher of piano. She fosters
a welcoming environment for
students of various ages and levels, and
focuses on the process of developing well-rounded musicianship skills
in all her students. Mrs. Joireman attends workshops and
conferences in
order to keep her pedagogical approach fresh, and
invites area guest artists to work with her
students each
year. Gloria is well-loved and respected by her students,
parents and colleagues,
and is a treasured teacher in our
field!
